Focal Food is an independent consultancy providing the food industry with an extensive range of services. The company was founded in 2006 by Norah-Ann Hayes to fill a noticed gap in skills and knowledge relating to the international legislation of the industry. The range of services we offer have expanded to include food safety, training and facility design. We are continually updating and evolving our skills to offer our clients comprehensive support through collaborations with other industry leaders.

Qualifications
Norah-Ann initially qualified through Stellenbosch University with a BSc Consumer Science (Foods) and went on to qualify for a certificate in International Food Law through Michigan State University, USA. She has completed her Train the Trainer, as well as Assessor training and is currently registered with Food Bev Seta as an assessor. She is also a qualified Lead food Auditor through the World Food Safety Organisation and acts as a technical expert in the spice industry for Certification Agencies.
