All countries have their own requirements regarding regulations. Many countries overlap in some aspects, but generally labels need to be customized for each market.

Can I use the same labels for local and export market?
How does the label review process work?
If you already have a label, we will require a JPEG or PDF of your label with an indication of size dimensions. If you do not have a label as yet, we will require general information on the product such as product names, weights, packaging dimensions and ingredients, amongst other things.
Once we have the information, we will do an initial review and then respond with additional queries which may involve a requirement for specification sheets of specific raw materials, nutrition information or processing information.
Based on the revised information we will submit a final report for you to work off with your designer.
Will we work with your designer to finalize the label?
Yes, we are happy to work either with the manufacturer or the designer, however we are in all likelihood need to ask the producer information directly.
Why do we require recipe/formula information?
Ingredients listings are required to be in descending order in all countries. If we do not have access to the formulae or recipe, Focal Food cannot guarantee correctness of order of the ingredients. We understand that this confidential and incredibly sensitive information and as such are happy to sign confidentiality agreements supplied by yourself.
Why do we take a minimum of six months to implement a food safety systems when other consultants have promised three months or less?
The documentation is the easy part and if you wish this can be downloaded off of dozens of websites. However it is the customization, implementation and training of staff that takes time and we believe in doing this properly right from the start. This may mean that it takes far longer, but you will be left with a system that you can manage and does not manage you.
In addition, certification agencies require between three and six month documentation to audit, so you will need to run your system for a bit prior to going to audit, so in reality the time frame is extended to nine months.
